Why I Love the Saints, An “Outsider’s” Perspective

I found this cover of Death Cab For Cutie’s “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” yesterday and I have been listening to it nonstop.
Today, while perusing through New Orleans Saints tags, I came across Saints11’s posts about “What the Saints mean to me” and I thought this song was rather fitting for the things I read. The team has had one of the roughest journeys in all of sports’ history, and yet their fans have stuck through it and never given up on them. They’ve followed them (corny, I know…) through everything and have been there every step of the way. It’s this love and devotion to the team that makes Saints’ fans the best.
Inspired by those excerpts, I decided to write about why I love the Saints.
