That Wonderful Question of Why
Perhaps I’m jumping the gun because I (so far) haven’t seen as many “hater” messages as I expected today (knocking vigorously on wood). However, I did see this post on Saints 11 and my Irish temper flared high and bright.
How is it that people are so willing to gloat and jeer over one bad game (and really, the game was a lot closer than it originally appeared it was going to be) and assume that the one game is indicative of Drew being “a slob” or the Saints being a “horrible team”? I don’t get this “validation” that these petty people seem to need. It strikes me as being rather pathetic and more than a little obnoxious.
So here’s how I choose to respond and view the playoff game with the ’49s and the Saints as a whole:
