Behold! the Saints11 Weekly Power Rankings Roundup
Is our chart not majestic?
Commentary after the jump: A possible explanation for why CBS Sports is here doing an impersonation of that German judge who scores the gymnast 8.5 when everyone else gave her a 10.

First of all, clearly Don Banks over at Sports Illustrated needs to get on a proper power rankings schedule. You’re not so special, Don, that you get to wait until Wednesday while everybody else has to publish on Tuesday. The result is you’ll always lag behind, and one of us here will make fun of you sometimes. It’ll be a smarmy guerrilla campaign against your tardiness.
Second of all, and on all other hands: Way to be a killjoy, CBS. The message board crowd has long suspected that Pete Prisco and Jim Haslett were like the two best friends that anybody could have—Prisco, after all, constantly says things like:
He was fired as coach of the Saints, a move made after one of the most-trying seasons in any coach’s career.
Haslett lost 25 pounds that year, and while he earned endless praise from his players, he was let go after the season. Fair? No, but is the NFL ever fair?
The Rams are making a mistake. Haslett was the right man for the job.
Most will look at him as a two-time loser as a head coach. That isn’t fair. The circumstances he had to deal with in New Orleans — see Hurricane Katrina — would have tried any coach. And, by the way, he did have success there.
and so on. (Prisco also named the signing of Drew Brees one of five “Free Agent Duds” before the 2006 season. So. That worked out.) Am I saying Pete Prisco’s been holding a grudge against the Saints for six years because they fired Jim Haslett after he went to the playoffs once, five years before they fired him? No. I’m not saying.
I’m just saying.
